It would be nice to have an option in the config for if the album art should be fetched from MusicBrainz or locally fetched from the ID3 tags in case of mp3 and the equivalent for .flac or other file types.
I think this would be helpful, because I have the cover_art already tagged for all of my songs and I know other people that also do it this way.

This isn't possible unfortunately, as Discord requires you to provide a URL for the image. The best you can do is ensure all your tracks are tagged with MusicBrainz IDs and upload any missing art to the Album Art Archive.
