Describe the bug

The category icons on the left, and the arrows icons on the right are both glitchy.

Maybe it's related to 2 distinct problems because the glitch is not the same on the left and on the right,

All other icons on the bar seems good.

To reproduce

  1. Add a menu module
  2. Click on the menu button

Expected behavior

I suppose I should see actual icons.

System information:

  • Distro: nixOS
  • Compositor: Niri
  • Ironbar version: 0.19-pre (master)

@JakeStanger commented on GitHub (Feb 19, 2026):

This looks like a missing icon theme to me. What icon theme are you using?

Adwaita.

This was also my first assumption, but I though I installed it.

Other apps like Thunar can display the folder icons without any problem. I don't know what other tests I can do.

If by any chance you know a bit about nixos and can give me a clue, I did this and this and that, without more success (it's commented now but was not then).
